Maintaining order and ensuring a smooth event flow are part of your responsibility as the speaker. At times, you may need to mute or remove an attendee. You can also pin important messages in chat, and view questions asked by attendees.

Mute or remove someone

To mute or remove someone, click the participant number on the bottom toolbar. Find the person on the list and click on the ‘…’ button to open a menu. You’ll see the options to mute or remove this person.

<aside> ⚠️ If you remove someone who is not a speaker or co-host, they won’t be able to enter the session again. If someone is being disruptive or violates the Code of Conduct, it is recommended to give a warning first before removing them.

Mute all attendees

There is also an option to mute all attendees at once. You can do that by clicking Mute all on the bottom toolbar.

Pin messages in chat

Sometimes there might be important messages (e.g. instructions, links, etc.) that you want to keep visible to the attendees. To pin a message, hover over a message in chat, and click the pin icon on the top right (left image). After that, it will appear on the top of the chat (right image).

View audience questions in Q&A

Last but not least, answering audience questions is a crucial way to share your knowledge! You can view questions from attendees by clicking Q&A on the bottom. Note that this is the same window as Chat, so you can switch between tabs by clicking the buttons on top of the sidebar.
